New Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy Groups

Using mindful meditation as a foundation, these psychotherapy groups blend the best of traditional psychotherapy with the benefits of a meditation practice to help heal chronic pain and chronic overeating.

Led by Dr. Sheila,these groups offer a safe and effective place to find relief from these chronic and debilitating conditions.

Mindfulness-Based Group Therapy for Chronic Pain

Did you know that your mood, thoughts, and emotions can affect how you perceive pain? Are you curious about how your past might be influencing your current physical condition? Would you like to learn how you to use the power of your mind to alleviate your pain and the anxiety and depression that may accompany it? Mindfulness-based group therapy can help answer these questions while teaching you the skills you need to harness your mind’s power to gain control over your pain and finally find relief.

            Tuesdays: 1:45pm – 3:15pm                                  Wednesdays:            6:00pm – 7:30pm.

 

Mindfulness-Based Group Therapy for Chronic Overeating

Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness (MB-EAT) is a non-diet approach that can transform your struggles with food. In this group you will learn how to bring your full attention to the process of eating—to all the tastes, smells, thoughts, and feelings that arise during a meal –so that you change your relationship to food and eating in a way that can have dramatic results for your health, weight and overall well-being. In this group, you will discover what you are really hungry for.
